Gypsum board and wallpaper are engineered to breathe — regulating humidity by absorbing and releasing water vapor. But that same porous structure absorbs odor molecules and VOCs along with moisture, turning walls into long-term reservoirs of contamination.
The Molecular Sieve Approach
Our sealing technology forms a three-dimensional network structure within the porous surface. The resulting pore size is precisely small enough to block odor molecules and VOCs — which are structurally larger — while still allowing water vapor molecules, which are far smaller, to pass through freely. Moisture regulation is fully preserved, while odor and VOC absorption is blocked at the surface.
Validated in the Field
This mechanism has been evaluated by independent Japanese testing institutions and is the subject of a pending patent application in Japan (Application No. 2026-069426). We are currently exploring technical collaboration and licensing opportunities with gypsum board and wallpaper manufacturers worldwide.
